Fabric, Looks vs. Performance

When most church boards prepare to purchase church chairs one of the first things they look at is the fabric. Primarily the color and texture and how it will look with the decor of the main sanctuary. One thing that’s even more important but often overlooked is the durability of the fabric. Granted most church chair manufacturers aren’t going to offer chintz or other light weight fabrics as options, most however don’t offer the high quality that’s required to withstand the trials of hours of use necessary each week. When looking for a fabric choose one that has been tested and has a high rating. It may cost more up front, but the extra cost will be paid for over time by not having to replace or repair holes in chairs.
