There are churches in Texas being set aflame by arsonists and churches in Jackson Mississippi being burglarized at an alarming rate.  Any time a church is targeted for a crime it’s alarming but the frequency I’ve been reading about lately is more so.  As church leaders we never want to believe that someone would come in and steal what was so generously given or worse yet set the whole church ablaze.  Unfortunately while we sit in our church chairs on Sunday morning we may feel safe but we still have to leave them and go out into the world the rest of the week. We just don’t want to feel the ugliness of this world in our sanctuaries.
