Priests to Start Social Networking Campaign

On January 29, 2010, in Church News, by Church Chair

The Pope recently asked priests to “discover new possibilities for carrying out their ministry to and for the Word of God.” With the advent of new social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook there is a whole new prospect for spreading the gospel. After so many centuries of people primarily having to sit in their church chairs to hear the Word of God it is good that people can now expand their experience.  Though T.V. and radio has given the opportunity to experience “programs” in our homes, social networking offers the opportunity to have a more personal perspective on how God can work in people’s lives. Hopefully other believers will see the opportunity to share their faith and touch others with the gospel.
