There are few instances where I would purposely choose an imported product over a domestically made product. Cars might be the only instance. And with this instance I’m usually going to pay more for the privilege than I would if I bought a USA made car. In almost all other cases imported products are less expensive for a reason. Manufacturing costs are less partially because the workers are paid less but primarily because inferior raw materials are used. This is definently the case with church chairs. Approximately 25% of church chairs are imported. The cost to the consumer is less up front but in the long run they pay more in that they have to be replaced sooner. With poorer raw materials and inferior manufacturing processes most imported chairs break or wear out long before they should.
